Are we talking us gallons or imperial gallons.<br />The beer store that I bought my ingredients from gave me a recipe to follow that was obviously for imperial gallons cause it called for my plastic fermentor to be filled to the 23 litre mark.<br />I used beersmith for my calculations and it was calling for 19L. Is this why my og is lower than it should&#39;ve been?<br />My primary is 30L, my glass carboy is 23L.<br />I guess thats why i&#39;ve been ending up with more beer than my kegs will hold? (corneys)<br /><br />I&#39;ve been looking at the plastic carboys from better bottle, they look pretty good. These look like they will make good primarys, especially with the rotating drain tube at the bottom with the racking valve version. I see that alot of people here only use a primary and skip the secondary all together. What are the pros and cons of each?
